@converse honors Alexis Sablone @suminaynay, Olympic skateboarder, by inviting her to create her first sneaker. 🛹
The result is the AS-1 PRO, a unisex model with curves reminiscent of the 80s. Designed to appeal to a streetwear audience without skimping on performance, this little beauty aims to reconcile the brand with the sports market. Stylish and technical, the AS-1 PRO is a nod to the younger years of @converse – which triggered its beginning at the basketball courts.🏀 The American label chose to focus on skateboarding for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Alexis Sablone inaugurated the discipline’s first games, in 2021 in Tokyo, so it was only natural that the athlete joined @converse workshops to design her first pair.
