Back-to-school season doesn’t have to mean gloom. Every year, September marks the strong return of cultural, artistic, and fashion events in the capital. Here’s a selection of must-sees in Paris: major exhibitions, purpose-driven pop-ups, Heritage Days, and Paris Design Week.
My Tiny Stuff Pop-Up at Doublevie
In Paris’s 18th district, the restaurant Doublevie is turning into a true haven of sustainable fashion this September with the My Tiny Stuff pop-up.

Among the participants is the brand Comme deux gouttes d’eau, founded by two longtime friends and graduates of the Institut Français de la Mode, unveiling a collection that blends stripes, lace, mini-shorts, and hooded vests. Designer Bloem Angela, for her part, is showcasing a crochet wardrobe with both whimsical and vibrant touches. Adding to the mix is a second-hand sale hosted by two social media personalities: Camille (@xxcaillouxx) and Carla (@kar.mo.ss)—renowned for their sharp vintage selections.
Last but not least, jewelry enthusiasts can discover the creations of Louise Berceau Jewelry, a Brussels-based brand that works exclusively with European metals, thereby promoting short supply chains.
Virgil Abloh: The codes, the Tribute Exhibition at the Grand Palais
From 30 September to 10 October 2025, the Grand Palais will host the exhibition “Virgil Abloh: The Codes”, the first European retrospective dedicated to the work of the designer who passed away in 2021. Presented by Virgil Abloh Archive™ in partnership with Nike, the exhibition revisits nearly twenty years of creation. Sketches, prototypes, objects, images, and pieces from personal collections will showcase the breadth of work of this multidisciplinary talent, whose influence left its mark on fashion, design, music, and the cultural world.

The opening of the exhibition was symbolically set for September 30, the birthday of the designer, who would have turned 45. The date also coincides with Paris Fashion Week, making this moment even more meaningful for the entire international fashion community. Talks, workshops, and satellite events will further enrich this immersion into the world of Virgil Abloh.
European Heritage Days 2025: Spotlight on architecture
On the weekend of 20-21 September 2025, the 42nd edition of the European Heritage Days will be held under the theme of ‘Architectural Heritage.’ Thousands of sites across France will exceptionally open their doors to the public, including the Palais de l’Élysée. Museums, government buildings, historic landmarks, and workshops usually closed to visitors will offer free access for two days.

In Île-de-France, several tours promise remarkable discoveries, starting with an exploration of the Saint-Ouen flea market, a stroll through the Sainte-Geneviève Library, or a guided behind-the-scenes visit of the Paris Archives. It is also an opportunity to discover the exhibition ‘Fashion in Motion’ at the Palais Galliera, complemented by an immersion into the world of designer Rick Owens with the installation ‘Temple of Love.’
“Finding One’s World” at Galerie du 19M
From 17 September to 14 December 2025, the Galerie du 19M will host an exhibition entitled ‘Finding One’s World’, exploring the notion of transmission in contemporary artistic and craft practices. Seventeen young artists and designers will present their vision of creation, with some works born from unprecedented collaborations with the Maisons d’Art housed at 19M, a center founded by CHANEL to showcase exceptional savoir-faire. Through this exhibition, an emerging generation reflects on its relationship to the world, to memory, and to the future of creation.

Located between Paris’s 19th arrondissement and the commune of Aubervilliers, the 19M serves as a bridge between the city, art, and craftsmanship.
Paris Design Week: When the capital celebrates design in all its forms
*“From 4 to 13 September 2025, Paris will once again beat to the rhythm of Paris Design Week, a key event on the cultural calendar. For ten days, the city transforms into a true laboratory of trends, bringing together showrooms, boutiques, galleries, workshops, museums, hotels, and restaurants in a multidisciplinary celebration of design.

The 2025 edition will once again spotlight emerging talents through the Design Factory. In 2024, Paris Design Week attracted more than 250,000 visitors, both professionals and enthusiasts. A figure that reflects the growing enthusiasm for a discipline that continues to shape our environment.
