👟: Asics Gel-Flammae Kiko Kostadinov
🎨: Mako Blue, Gunmetal
🗓: July 19
Bulgarian designer Kiko Kostadinov is back with a new collaboration with Asics, introducing the Gel-Flammae. This unique design, conceived by sisters Laura and Deanna Fanning: the creative minds behind Kostadinov’s women’s line, combines a futuristic look with classic functionality. The campaign, shot by Rosie Marks, features women playing netball, a sport invented by Clara Gregory Baer in 1895.
The Gel-Flammae draws inspiration from the Gel-Wahine II and Gel-Netburner IGS II, available in Mako Blue and Gunmetal. The shoe’s upper is made of rubber extending from the outsole to the toe, with wavy panels along the sole’s edge. The Asics logo is placed on the tongue label, the insole of the right sneaker, and the heel, while the Kiko Kostadinov logo adorns the left insole. The sole is inspired by the cushioning of the Gel-Kiril.
The Gel-Flammae in Mako Blue and Gunmetal is priced at €240.
