It is with the coattails of the New York brand Engineered Garments that K-Swiss adheres to reinterpret a classic of its sneakers. The famous tennis shoe brand has chosen to revisit its OG model, dating back to 1966, keeping its minimalist design and merging with the utilitarian side of Engineered Garments.
“This collaboration perfectly embodies our identity, which is to transcend the conventional limits of our classics,” explains Jon Tang, Senior Designer of Collaboration at K-Swiss. Predictably, it was the Classic GT model that Engineered Garments came up with the idea to resume a few codes and integrate them within the K-Swiss model. The iconic pair, star of the 80s, is adorned with the eyelets and fasteners of the GT edition to enhance the style on the feet.
All three colorways of the K-Swiss x Engineered Garments Classic GT will be available worldwide May 12 onward.
