For the SS24 season, the Japanese label sacai is back with a second collaboration alongside Carhartt WIP. This capsule collection mixes the Japanese house’s codes with the technicality and workwear style of the Detroit brand.
As usual, Chitose Abe enjoys deconstructing the essentials of the brands she collaborates with. After Jean-Paul Gaultier, Dior, Moncler, and Nike, the Japanese brand sets its sights on Carhartt WIP with 18 iconic pieces blending the universes of both brands. The sacai x Carhartt WIP collection includes jackets featuring the emblematic Carhartt canvas, multi-pocket coats, skirt-shorts, and dungaree dresses. South Korean musician and model Soojoo and the Detroit-origin trio Hi Tech, captured by Stas Komarovski Studio, definitively seal the union between sacai and Carhartt WIP.
The sacai x Carhartt WIP collection releases tomorrow at select international retailers and some sacai stores, as well as on both brands’ websites.
