Beyoncé: glam designer for her Ivy Park x Adidas capsule collection

Mar 5, 2020 | Fashion

2020 is barely under way and Beyoncé has already set her sights on holding onto her superstar crown for the next decade. The proof is her much-anticipated Ivy Park x Adidas capsule collection.

The singer announced the collaboration with the sportswear brand in April 2019 calling it the “partnership of a lifetime.” Last month she published 6 posts on her Instagram account unveiling the project’s first pieces and “thug” accessories: grillz, anklet and earrings.

And boom! This week she posted a cool short video where she showcases the same glam attitude with other models. It unveils more products from the unisex collection: hoodies, joggers, trainers, stiletto boots and a body… There are three signature colours: burgundy, orange and white. To find out more, we need to be patient and wait another few fays. The official launch is scheduled for January 18th!

Ivy Park post #MeToo

To refresh your memory, Beyoncé cofounded her sportswear brand in 2016 with the British fashion retailer Topshop. She named it Ivy Park after her daughter Blue Ivy who is now 8 years old (and Park in a nod to outdoor sports). She bought back her shares two years later following racism and sexual harassment allegations against the Arcadia Group’s CEO (which owns Topshop), Philip Green. Vintage Ivy Park collections are still available on Asos and Zalando.
With 138 million Instagram fans, this collection is looking to be the year’s fashion success story! You can now sign up to the Ivy Park and Adidas websites to get real-time updates.
